Pick the right carpet color here

DUN!DUN!DUN! The selection of the carpet in a home is so important for a comfortable feeling. As a kid I was absolutely appalled by the carpet color my mother chose for our home. DARK GREEN! Can you believe it?? Dark green? With yellow walls too. I was so confused. I often asked her why she would pick such a color for such a crucial piece in a house and she always responded with the fact that green was her favortite color. I to this day, still don't agree with the color of that carpet so I decided to do my own research on how to pick the perfect carpet. Like this carpet from @ProminentHomesLtd

Unlike my other blog posts, this hack just has one step and that is to consider maintenance requirements and colors of the furniture and walls of the room. If the room is primarily used by the kids then having carpet may not be ideal at all and if you really do want carpet then a darker color would be best. For rooms like the living room having lighter colored carpet is necessary for a welcoming and bright feeling, dark carpet won't draw people to the room as well as light colors would. If you have pets chose a darker shade but still keep it as light as possible, hard wood is always an option as well. Hardwood gives it a more polished look but may not be ideal for reaching the perfect comfort level.
